Students enjoy a short 22-minute flight or quick ferry ride from Vancouver to Nanaimo where their adventure begins! The friendly and welcoming nature of our people, coupled with year-round outdoor experiences, makes Nanaimo and Ladysmith desirable place to live and study.

Nanaimo has a population of approximately 100,000 people and has everything a student may need. Ladysmith has a population of approximately 10,000 people and overflows with small town charm. The Ladysmith community is tight knit and supportive.

In Nanaimo and Ladysmith, there is an abundance of rich cultural experiences, recreation, and shopping. 

Being centrally located, students also have easy access to the dynamic cities of Vancouver and Victoria. Students are able to explore activities and destinations such as skiing at Mount Washington and Whistler Blackcomb and surfing at the popular surfing towns of Tofino and Ucluelet. 

On Vancouver Island, we enjoy the mildest climate in Canada. Winters are mild and rainy and summers are cool and dry.
